It's been a busy month of music here at Concerted Effort, but for the last week of February things will be a little bit quieter...sort of. This weekend I will be out on the town again as usual, but I'll be trading my camera for cocktails for a birthday celebration. Concerted Effort is teaming up with the cities' best weekly Friday night dance party, Lipgloss, to throw a birthday bash for yours truly. If you've never been before but you love the dance floor, come see why this indie dance party has been successful for over a decade. Resident DJs boyhollow and option4 will be joined by special guest DJ Tower to keep the music and the dance floor going. Lipgloss founder boyhollow will be supplying his usual versatile mix - a seamless combination of indie, fun electro, '80s and more. Resident DJ option4 will be at the helm keeping the crowd bouncing with his smooth, deep, and disco house selections. DJ Tower, a resident at The Church nightclub, will be the night's guest DJ, bringing a mix of house and rock to the decks. Also, with the Chiddy Bang release party around the corner, you'll have the chance to get your hands on a free copy during a giveaway.

The party starts at La Rumba on Friday, February 24th at 9:00PM. The night is 21+ and entry is free before 10:00PM, after that the cover is only $5. They have $2 Gin & Tonic/PBR and $3 Vodka specials all night long, so come ready to party! Find out more information on Facebook.
